Evielove and I made some aprons for a blog contest and had the best time!!
She is becoming quite the little sewing machine and I love having her do crafts with me - FINALLY -it's only taken 22 years sheesh :)

Evielove chose a cute floral and some seersucker (because she is addicted to seersucker) and of course it wouldn't be complete without some pink ribbon and rickrack!! Mine is blue and green with some felt flowers - but can't show too much because it is a gift!!!

Nothing better than twirling in an apron!!!!

OKAY  How many of us are in this predicament???
Well I was set in my path - doing the same things and finding myself in a place where I didn't feel fulfilled or blissful or even great to be honest. I kept worrying about the same old things that were stuck in the back of my mind from childhood or from mistakes or choices I made years beforehand.
Then my amazing Evielove gave me the gift of myself for Christmas. She gave me an online course called Soul Restoration by Melody Ross. It is a part of Brave Girls, a program that Melody started for each and every one of us great girls so we could find ourselves again.


IT HAS CHANGED MY LIFE !!!!!

For the six weeks of class ( okay so it's taking me longer as I tend to wander......) you explore what is keeping you where you are and how to make changes to put you on the right path. It is all done through writing in a journal and creating art. With Melody speaking through videos, you feel like she is speaking directly to you and she is an amazing, fun woman. hmmmmm it kinda sounds like I am doing an ad for her but honestly I LOVED THIS CLASS and I can't say enough good things about it. I have taken all those childhood memories and dealt with them, I have explored why I do what I do and I have found that I am not alone - it is such a relief to listen to other girls that sound like they are saying exactly what you sometimes don't have the courage to say. I have realized that I am worth a lot, I have so much to give and that I do deserve any good that comes my way. WOW EH?

I can honestly say I am HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY and finding my way to what I really want to do and I have put many old things to rest and have realized what is important in my life - was it tough? oh yeah but is it totally worth it - YES YES YES

I have made a whole new set of amazing women that I honestly call my friends and we will keep in touch forever - LOVE YOU MY BRAVE GIRLS

Too cool not to love

You know how while blog hopping you find things and go ooooooooooh I want my house to look like that,or, I want to make those and then you bookmark all those blogs and soon you have five million bookmarks and can't remember where anything was???
Well, Evielove set me up a pinterest account and it has been the most fun - I have all my favorite things on boards and then they connect right to the blog for all the information - HOW COOL IS THAT!!!!
You have to try this out - I am becoming addicted - I love it when someone pins something of mine and I love to be followed and all the other boards are so beautiful and make me happy just looking at them

Estate Sale Goodies

Evielove and I found two great estate sales on Sunday. Sundays are our favorite because everything is 50%off and there are usually still lots of great things left. So we got there early enough to get the first round of numbers and then enjoyed the fabulous weather until we got in the houses. The first one netted us some great old books and lovely cocktail napkins. But the second house was in an incredible old neighborhood and was so charming! It was full of all sorts of beautiful things and it is sooo much fun to get things for $1.00

 Look at this great old hatbox and the two little hats are covered in vintage flowers!!! Too sweet
We also scored some great linens, bags of lace, sweet tea cups and beautiful stemware

I was checking in on my favorite blogs and came across this adorable little heart on FRENCHBLUE
Made me smile - especially since the weather here is in the 70's and it is only Feb.
Tomorrow Evielove and I are hitting the estate sales -hopefully we will find some great stuff that I can blog about :)
